FUGITIVES
As a fugitive in Razor Wire, you are on the run from the oppressive Dursian religious regime. Stranded in the borderlands near the divide between Balgia and Dursia, you find yourself bereft of all possessions - no gear, food, or water remains, save for the clothes on your back and a certain sum of currency. Your primary aim is to survive and secure documents that will facilitate your journey to the West.
Embarking on the role of a fugitive in Razor Wire presents a thrilling challenge. This isn’t merely an obstacle course; it’s a multifaceted experience that thrusts an average individual into remarkable situations, revealing hidden strengths and qualities.
In the role of a fugitive within Razor Wire, you will:
- Plan your own route, traversing significant distances across rugged terrain, away from established trails and roads, all while navigating through zones of active military conflict.
- Conceal yourself from the armed units of the fanatical True Faith group, whose mission includes the apprehension and execution of fugitives like yourself.
- Scour the landscape for water and food to sustain your survival.
- Engage with local smugglers who offer assistance to individuals like you, albeit driven by less than altruistic reasons. Additionally, you may encounter aid from other factions that empathize with the plight of fugitives. It will be up to you to discern allies from foes and decide whom to trust in this treacherous environment.
Q&A
Fugitives typically operate in small groups ranging from two to five individuals, as this size maximizes their chances of success. While solo play is an option, we recommend partnering with at least one other participant for a better experience.
Groups can be formed independently among participants or with assistance from the organizers.
The simulation is designed to be quite safe. Like any outdoor activity, there’s an inherent risk of injury, but at Razor Wire, your location will be periodically monitored by the organizers. Although fugitives in the scenario don’t carry phones, players will have their phones and an emergency contact number. Additionally, trained volunteers equipped for search, rescue, and first aid are part of the game and will respond promptly if needed.
Some of the most successful participants in Razor Wire’s history have been individuals with sedentary jobs, not necessarily athletes. The game is not a physical obstacle course; it’s about simulating scenarios and moving at a pace that suits you. The real challenge lies more in the psychological aspect - decision-making is crucial to success.
Nevertheless, participants should be capable of walking for several hours on rough terrain with limited water and food.
As dusk falls, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with various factions and decide on your next move. You might choose to spend the night at a faction’s camp, though this comes with its own risks. Alternatively, you can find a spot to rest using the rescue sleeping bag you will be having on you or any gear you’ve acquired during the game.
Yes.
You can discontinue your participation at any point. If you feel unwell or require assistance, you can reach out to the organizers for support.
If you've made prior arrangements with another faction, you may opt to continue the game with them.
Should you be captured or ‘killed’ in-game, you have the option to resume play as a new character, either as a fugitive or with another faction, provided you have made arrangements with them.
There is no specific dress code for fugitives in Razor Wire. We advise dressing as you would for a hike - comfortable footwear, long trousers, and a jacket for nighttime.
Required gear includes safety glasses, a mobile phone, a rescue blanket, and an orange hat/vest for identification of players hit by airsoft replicas. Maps are supplied by the organizers. While a folding knife is permissible, it should not be used for any gameplay purposes.

Prohibited items include backpacks, bags, food, water, and water bottles.
Fugitives often leave bivouac gear with the organizers, which can be used under certain conditions.
All other necessary items for achieving in-game objectives can be found on-site or through interactions with other factions.
Possession of an airsoft handgun replica is possible, but experience indicates that it may decrease your survival odds.
